Iron-Containing Water
Problem:
Iron-containing water is mainly found in the case of individual
water supply, e.g. from one’s own well or where rust-containing water
is fed into the domestic network. This is predominantly the case if the local
water supply lines are already several years old and service jobs such as
flushing or repairing of pipes burst are carried out.
As a consequence, rust and pollutants are frequently dissolved, they get into
the house and deposit inside the pipes. Brown water is running from the tap.
Solution:
If the water contains up to approx. 3 mg iron per litre, WELLAN 2000
transforms the iron so that there will be no discolouring of the water. A
practical test is recommended.
