Innovative Solution for Preventing Sediment Buildup in Wells: Testing NAWT Collars in Ghana

Access to clean and safe drinking water remains a challenge in many regions, and Ghana is no exception. One recurring issue in groundwater wells is the buildup of deposits on valves and pumps, which can compromise water quality and require frequent maintenance. Biofilms, algae, and salt crystallization in saline water are common problems that need effective solutions.

To address this, six NAWT collars (¾ inch) were sent to various test sites across Ghana. These collars are designed to prevent biofilm formation, remove algae, and reduce mineral buildup, including salt crystallization, in well systems.

It is important to note that the effect of the rings is only possible thanks to WELLAN 2000®’s proprietary biosignal technology, which is also used in the NAWT Collar. This innovative technology was discovered by Klaus Wagner, which is why WELLAN 2000® precedes the NAWT Collar in both development and performance.

Results:
The implementation of NAWT collars brought significant improvements in water quality. The inner surfaces of tanks and pipes were cleaned of biofilm and algae, leading to a cleaner, safer water supply. Additionally, valves and pumps required less frequent maintenance, reducing operational effort and costs.

Encouraged by these results, Ghana placed a new order on November 13, 2024, for 50 additional NAWT collars to distribute to other locations. The feedback from Yaw Dwomoh, our representative in Ghana, was enthusiastic:
