While the WELLAN 2000® water ring isn’t a filter system in the traditional sense, it has such a very positive effect on existing domestic water that it significantly improves the quality.
Aside from its commercial and industrial use, it’s a must-have for private households. It offers the following advantages:

- Improved water quality, clearer water (see photo of frozen WELLAN 2000® water) with a milder taste.
- Removal of hard limescale deposits. This results in no or significantly less limescale residue on bathroom fixtures, shower heads, and household appliances.
- No biofilm in the pipes, thus no “nests” for bacterial growth.
- Bacteria in the water are reduced or eliminated – safer showering.
- Improved water flow. (If existing deposits are present in the pipes, the water flow will decrease.)

If a reverse osmosis filter system is used in a private household, WELLAN 2000® has a positive effect on the membrane, the heart of the filter system, and extends its service life. It also has a positive effect on the pre-filters – extending their service life.
If a private pool is available, the amount of chemicals added can be reduced. It also protects all pool equipment.
Normal frozen drinking water, e.g., ice cubes, is always milky. WELLAN 2000® water is crystal clear when frozen.
WELLAN 2000® Water System Features
- WELLAN 2000® water is drinkable if the user does not mind that not all minerals have been removed from the water.
- WELLAN 2000® complies with the requirements of the German Drinking Water Ordinance (Drinking Water Ordinance), meaning the water is safe to drink even with higher TDS levels. However, it is not a filter system like a reverse osmosis filter system, which filters out almost 99% of substances from the water.
- Even if WELLAN 2000® water should not be drunk, the private user still benefits considerably from WELLAN 2000® in terms of health and finances, and the cost of the ring pays for itself in a relatively short time.
- “WELLAN 2000® homogenizes all substances in the water.” (Except for any algae that may be present in the pool, due to its extreme mutation rate. Therefore, appropriate algaecides should be used, although the amount added can be reduced.)
